What is the difference between a passport and a visaWhat to know about first time air travel for the Childrenespecially babies first flightSolo travel for women. General tips: Heart Attacks at home and abroad Watch for these signs and symptoms; Like to save money? Beyond Just For Travel - Home and Health Preparedness

New items being added this month - time frames for Special Olympics; Quick and Easy Recipes; Special People who are related to one topic of the month; Updates for home safety, new medical tips to stay home healthy, short inexpensive travel just for fun, good experiences, they do not need only to happen while you are on vacations.

Statistics show that more people have some kind of accident within 5 miles of home. So if this is the case we need to know how to be ready to take on these challenges. Being too comfortable on short drives, not wearing seat belts, or not paying attention, talking and texting on cell phones while driving ... are not good practices. Let us also touch on those driving while being medicated - while prescription drugs  are used to help us overcome medical problems, they still have an effect on our thoughts and system responses. Accidents can and do happen, a lot, because we are not aware of the side effects of prescription drugs.

Home & health and safety are very big items - Children's toys laying around, rugs not secured slip with people on them, chemicals cause fires and death, gas leaks, electrical shorts, medicine overdoses, overactive pets, are just a few items I will touch on in these pages. I solicit more information if you want to share with the world.

March 2014 updates to emergency preparednessI was recently confronted with a question concerning travel pertaining to emergency situations, what advice could I give for that situation? Please see my Information and Know how page. This is a very big concern right now, so many things happening all over the world. While I do not want to put fear in anyone this is a matter that for sure needs to be addressed. Take a minute to read "Turn around don't drown" or  TADD . Suffice it to say that I am not the information center for all emergency needs, I will touch on what I know, such items as road wash out, Hypothermia and what transportation modes are acceptable during emergency situations.

Traveling with Children can be a real experience, sometimes good and sometimes not so good.  So what can you as the Parent(s) and Caretakers do to make this (and all) vacation(s), fun, educational and exciting for everyone involved? Learn how to pack just the right way to save money, space and make sure your clothing arrives with you. How to engage a teenager to help with the smaller Children without making it seem like a burden. How to have a quick pick-me-up enroute. What to do with those plastic water bottles once they are empty. Visit my Children's page and browse my other pages to find just what you are looking for.

Whether you are going for a Family Reunion and renting a park, planning your own  Wedding, the passing of a Friend or Loved One, Business, just to get away, or even down the block to a house warming party, my site has information you will need to make it a smooth journey. Want to travel for free? What are you doing when ...
1. You retire? a )  b )  c )  d )  e )
2. The Children leave home? a )  b )  c )  d )

Group travel  and Tours as well as single travel, have become very popular lately, as a way to save money, have a better vacation experience, meet new people and see places you did not think you would ever visit. Group travel is a way to bring the Family together for a fantastic vacation, meeting up with Family members along the way and adding them to the tour. Remember to take along journals, scrap book materials, and plenty of paper for names, addresses, and all the information you will gather on these journeys.

While Disabled travel  both stateside and  abroad has been more popular in the last few years, it is a great feeling to know the blind and low sighted are included more with the installation of audio electronic periodicals called Branch, segments throughout many of the State parks divisions. With the new generation of eBooks, the Nook and  Kindle Fire, and talking books,  more blind people are enjoying vacations. Even Disney has gotten in on the eBooks with downloadable applications for iPods and MP3s.

It is also very comforting to know that there are places who are taking the time and efforts to be exciting to the disabled, blind, elderly and those with special challenges like Jubilee Sailing Trust My searching's have uncovered multiple services available to this crowd, with many new paved walking paths, more accessible restroomsmore availability on ski lift cars and where to go skiing , how about rock climbing and white water rafting?

Part of my services are to educate travel and accommodation, food and beverage, theme parks and state parks providers on the necessity of disabled access features. Many things I take into considerations are door widths, stairs, restroom access, parking, pathways, aisleways, and personal greetings and treatment from staff. Of course I look for the rules that are to be posted stating if or not the situation is an unsafe area for these people, such as theme park rides. I will be doing this as speaking engagements throughout the United States. Contact me for further information.

I believe that entertainment comes from many sources, from newborn  to Grand Parents, we all need to be entertained to a degree, so follow me herehere  and here. This is only a sampling of entertainment that can be accessed for fun travel, be sure to check out my entertainment page.

Unless there is a life threatening situation or an obstacle that absolutely cannot be overcome, no one should have to stay home all the time. Oxygen is being more readily available, medical equipment can be rented and delivered to your hotel rooms or point of interest (in most cases). Travel and music are fun,  educational, stress relieving, and just the non-side effect* medicine the Travel Doctor prescribed.
(* However they have been known to become addictive  :-)

Also for the do-it-yourself people who like to save money I have included some instructions and materials as well as where to get the materials. Just follow the links. This section is always recruiting methods of saving money, and making life easier. If you have something to share here, just go to my contact page.

The ads I have chosen reflect my sincerity to serving you, I have personally checked them out and find them to be bug free, respected, and credible sites. I have tried to choose that which is  reasonable, necessary, and inviting for your planning, travel, away and home pleasure, leaving you hassle free. Many of my third party advertisers run promotional ads and I pass these on to you the consumer as well as use them myself, so you might want to check back often if you are looking for bargains.

Each of my pages are designed with a special heading, meaning on that page will be information relating to the heading, thus making it easier for you to navigate. The ads on each page give you something to think about about and purchase for your particular point of interest. When you click on my merchant ads and make a purchase from the site, you will be giving me a small token in the form of a commission. With these commissions, I can purchase software to keep my pages fresh and ready for viewing.

My pages change from time to time as I keep up with current events and news to pass on to you, my audience, therefore I invite you to visit often. One week a month is spent in checking links to make sure they work, adding new updated content and adding information I have collected to further the betterment of my site. If there is something you would like to see on my pages, if you find links that do not work, please drop me a  note on the Contact page, and let me know.

The reasoning behind my pages is here, my mission statement is here and my code of ethics is here, my silent supporters are here as well as those who have won the battles.

I strive for excellence in being fair, honest and reasonable with everyone. This is a Family site therefore you will not knowingly find scantily clad people or people depicting alcoholic beverage drinking, nor do the advertisements on my pages reflect such. I promote Family, affordable, enjoyable travel and home. I do not promote rich, glitzy party type living. I do charge a fee for my services, for information on pricing, contact me.
